What is Vibe Coding?

You no longer need to be a professional programmer to create your own website or app. A new AI-based approach called “vibe coding” allows anyone to create software simply by describing what they want in plain language, turning your words directly into a working app.

Vibe Coding is a new way of programming powered by artificial intelligence, popularized by Andrej Karpathy (former head of AI at Tesla), which suggests writing software using natural language instructions. Instead of writing every line of code, the user describes what they want to achieve —for example, “reduce the side margin” or “add Google authentication”— and the AI interprets the intention, generates the code, and applies the changes automatically. Emerging tools with coding features are embracing this approach, making development faster and more accessible for both programmers and non-technical people.
This methodology promises to speed up prototyping, make digital development more accessible, and reduce dependence on specialized teams, making it a key trend for innovation-focused organizations. However, it also brings control and security challenges, since automatically generated code can introduce errors or inefficient practices if not reviewed with technical judgment. Adopting Vibe Coding with human oversight and solid quality frameworks allows you to harness its potential without compromising the reliability of the final product, marking a turning point between AI-guided creativity and assisted professional development.
